Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
972 picks wants everyone to be able to find a good pick, read our guides and use Picky, including people with disabilities. We build the site to meet Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, and we aim for WCAG 2.1 AA where we can.
What we have done
- The site is built with semantic HTML: real headings, landmarks, lists, tables and buttons, so screen readers can navigate it.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and nothing traps the keyboard.
- Text and buttons meet the color-contrast levels of WCAG AA, and the layout works when text is enlarged up to 200%.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have labels, clear error messages and do not rely on color alone.
- Picky announces its answers to screen readers once, without interrupting, and keeps focus in the text field.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The site works on phones from 360 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
- Every version of the site is tested automatically with the axe accessibility checker at phone and desktop widths before it goes live.
We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget. We make the site itself accessible instead.
Known limitations
- Product photos come from the stores. Some contain text, sometimes in other languages, that is not fully described in our text alternative. The product name, price and our notes are always available as text.
- Pages on other sites we link to, such as stores, carriers and government sites, are outside our control.
- Picky’s answers are written by an AI model; we check their structure, but wording can occasionally be unclear.
Browsers and assistive technology
The site is built for current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and for VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. Our automated checks run in Chrome.
