About 972 picks
972 picks is a short list of products worth ordering from abroad, and plain-English guides to the part nobody explains: what happens when the package reaches Israel.
Who we are
We are a shopping site for English speakers in Israel. Every pick shows why we chose it, its price in shekels and whether import VAT applies. We start with AliExpress.
We are independent. We are not owned or endorsed by any store we link to.
Why 972 picks exists
Ordering from abroad is harder in English. Listings rarely say whether a plug fits an Israeli socket or whether customs will add VAT, and most of the shopping advice here is in Hebrew.
We check those things first, say what we could not confirm, and keep the list short.
How we choose picks
A product makes the list only if it has real evidence of quality, a fair price for Israel and an honest tax answer, and nothing risky about it. We start from AliExpress’s best sellers and trending products, plus what readers ask Picky for. Read how we pick.
How we make money
We may earn a commission when you buy through our links. You pay the same price. The commission never affects what we pick. Read how we make money.
How we write
Our system finds candidates and checks each one against our rules. Picks that pass go live, and the site admin, Todd Edelman, reviews every new pick within a few days, removing anything that isn’t good enough. Notes are drafted with AI help from the listing and its photos, then checked in the same review. Guides are written and edited by Todd. AI tools help with research. Picky, our assistant, is a bot, and it never writes guides. Picky answers from our list first. If we don’t have it, it may show a product from AliExpress marked “Not vetted yet”.
