The invite-only Elite shopping club: is it worth it in Israel?
What AliExpress's free Elite club gives members in Israel, how you get in, what it doesn't cover, and whether it should change how you shop. Checked against the company's own announcement.
Elite is a free club that AliExpress started in Israel on October 18, 2026. You can’t sign up: the company invites shoppers based on their order history, and members see it in the app. Members get extra discounts on labeled items and easier returns. If you’re in, use it; if you’re not, don’t spend more to get in. Last checked .
What is the Elite club?
It’s AliExpress’s first free membership program. The company announced it on October 15, 2026, for several European countries (AliExpress’s announcement on PR Newswire), and launched it in Israel on Sunday, October 18 (ynetnews, a secondary source).
There’s no fee. The company says there are no subscription fees, registration fees or hidden costs, according to ynetnews. It is separate from any paid membership AliExpress has offered before.
What do members get?
According to AliExpress’s announcement, repeated for Israel in the Israeli press:
- An extra 5% off items with the Elite label. Only labeled items count, in AliExpress’s Brand+, Choice and Local+ ranges.
- Elite Day on the first of every month: 8% off eligible items.
- Easier returns. You can return eligible items within 15 days of receiving them, without extra proof. The announcement’s small print limits this to orders with a quality problem.
- Dedicated customer service. Ynetnews reports it is online around the clock.
The discounts don’t cover the whole store. Being a Choice or Brand+ item doesn’t guarantee the label, and there’s no basis yet to add the 5% and the 8% together (ICE, in Hebrew, a secondary source). AliExpress also hasn’t said how Elite works with coupons or Coins.
What doesn’t it include?
Nothing announced for Israel touches shipping. Faster delivery in the European launch is for some cities in France, Spain and Poland, and isn’t an Elite benefit even there. The announcement says nothing about Coins or free shipping.
AliExpress also hasn’t said how long membership lasts or whether you can lose it. We’ll update this guide when it does.
How do I get in?
You don’t apply. AliExpress adds shoppers automatically, based on their purchase history, and members see their status in the app (announcement). Israeli reports say it appears as an Elite tag in your account area, and that the label also shows next to prices on items that qualify.
The rule for Israel isn’t published. In Europe, AliExpress set a yearly spend and a minimum number of days with orders. Ynetnews reported a much lower spend figure for Israel, and other outlets give different numbers, so treat any figure you see as a guess until AliExpress publishes its Israeli terms.
I order from AliExpress several times a month and, as of October 22, my account shows no Elite status, so the bar for Israel isn’t trivial.
Does the Elite discount change my import VAT?
Probably not in your favor, so don’t count on it. Customs values a package at the price paid to the seller. The Tax Authority doesn’t recognize points, vouchers and compensation credit, and its guide doesn’t cover discounts paid by the marketplace (chapter 3).
AliExpress hasn’t said whether the seller or the platform pays for the Elite discount. Until it does, plan on the price before the Elite discount when you check a package against $75.
This is a shopper’s summary, not tax advice. For your specific case, check the Israel Tax Authority calculator or ask a customs broker.
Is it worth it for the way most of us order?
If you place a handful of small orders a year, mostly under the line, Elite is a small bonus, not a reason to shop differently.
- If you’re in, it costs you nothing. Look for the label on things you already planned to buy.
- If you’re not, don’t chase it. Nobody outside AliExpress knows the Israeli rule, and an extra order to qualify costs more than 5% saves.
- Compare the whole listing, not the label. A labeled item with 5% off isn’t automatically cheaper than the same product from another seller without it.
- Plan big buys for the first of the month. If something you need carries the label, Elite Day is the day the discount is largest. November 1, 2026 is a Sunday, and the 11.11 sale is on that day.
- Open packages on the day they arrive. The easier return is counted from receipt, and packages to Israel can wait at a pickup point for days.
The returns benefit adds to your rights; it doesn’t replace them. AliExpress says the Elite benefits don’t limit consumers’ rights under Israeli law (ynetnews).
How does it fit with 11.11?
According to the announcement, members can apply the Elite discount on top of 11.11 sale prices on eligible items. The sale runs from Saturday, October 31, at 11 pm to Wednesday, November 18, at 10:59 pm, Israel time. The Israeli news site Mako said AliExpress didn’t specify whether the discounts stack (Mako, in Hebrew), so check your cart before you pay.

- Compare the labeled listing with the same product from other sellers.
- Check each package against $75 using the price before the Elite discount.

FAQ
How much does the Elite club cost?
Nothing. AliExpress says the club is free, with no subscription or registration fees, and you can’t buy your way in. The company invites shoppers based on their order history, and members see their status in the app.
Can I ask to join?
No. There’s no sign-up form. AliExpress adds members automatically from their purchase history. The rule for Israel isn’t published, so placing extra orders to qualify is a gamble that usually costs more than the discount is worth.
Do Elite discounts stack with sale prices?
AliExpress’s announcement says members can use the Elite discount on top of 11.11 sale prices on eligible items. It doesn’t say whether the 5% and the Elite Day 8% combine, or how Elite works with coupons and Coins. Check the cart total before you pay.
